LEGALIZED

Like a beautiful flower, Rhiezel has blossomed into a fine young lady. She is pretty, smart (especially in Math), caring, and strong. That is why I'm really grateful for having been blessed with a great friend like her.

Last Sunday, we celebrated her eighteenth birthday. She finally reached the legal age. Woohoo! And with all the scrumptious meals, to-die-for red velvet cupcakes, unlimited photo booth and karaoke, my friends and I really had a blast. It was truly a night to remember.

Here are some of the photos taken during the celebration.
(Yup, we are the vainest girls on earth *winks*)

SENT FROM HEAVEN

To my dearest friends and family
I just want to stop by and say "hi"
I would like to tell you that I'm enjoying my stay here
But this would not be my final goodbye
God told me to watch over you
That's why I'm here today
If you feel that sudden brush of wind on your skin
Don't worry because that's just me
Everything will be okay
I will keep my eye on you
I will keep you safe and sound
When nobody's there for you
I promise to be around
I will not be visible
You will never hear me
Being with me cannot be possible
But I will always keep you company
Someday we'll be together again
We will be a complete family
In that place they call "heaven"
Where everyone deserves to be happy

MAY MY FAIRYTALE COME TRUE

Fairytales
Happy, Magical
Loving, Dreaming, Wishing
This would come true
Fantasy

*Just a little information about the photo: This was taken a year ago during our graduation ball when Ariz and I were crowned as the King and Queen of the Night.

WHEN I'M GONE

Something drastic happened
That caused me to die
It was unexpected
So I failed to bid goodbye
As I lay here dead
I don't want to see you cry
Because the tears that you shed
Will not set me free and make me fly

WONDERS OF THE TREE

The leaves and the roots
The branches and its fruits
They all help us in a way
And now, it's time for us to repay
They give us shelter
They provide us food
They sip rainwater
And you know it's for our own good
They give off clean air
A part of them they always share
Just for our sake
So now, a step we must all make
Remember, they are also living creatures
And taking care of them is for the betterment of our future
So if we really love them
We must all hold hands and start doing what's best for them

PHILIPPINES: A COUNTRY OF UNDISCIPLINED PEOPLE

Trashes here and there. Law violators everywhere… What else good is left?
As ordinary citizens, we can see how bad our country becomes. Everyone, even the rich and the poor, is affected by these problems. We always see trashes in the streets resulting to sickness and worst, even death.
Another problem is the law violators. Many of us encounter danger because of them. Others include war, inhumanity and killings. Let us admit that we also want peace. But what will happen if no one makes a step?
So, what are we waiting for? Let us be the first ones to take the time left for making this country a better place to live in. Thus, changing the notion: “Philippines: a country of undisciplined people”

PEACE IN THE PHILIPPINES, WHEN WILL WE ACHIEVE?

This piece means a lot to me since this is my winning piece when I joined the Mini Press Conference held in Concepcion Elementary School. I was the representative of my school, Our Lady of Perpetual Succor College, for the English Editorial category way back then

Nowadays, we cannot assure our safety because of the war caused by the Moro Islamic Liberation Front, also known as MILF. We do know that what they are doing is drastic. But admit it or not, we do not know the real cause of this crisis in the South.
If we would look around, we will find families grieving and blaming the MILF because of the lost lives and damaged properties. Many would say that the MILF are out of their minds. While some would blame the government. But others really do not know why this war has to come along.
Before, when the Spaniards, Japanese and Americans tried to conquer our land, the only place that they unsuccessfully ruled was Mindanao. That is why the Muslims are the only people uninfluenced by these invaders. So up to this day, they are trying to own pieces of land in our country. And with this, they want the government to approve the Memorandum of Agreement on Ancestral Domain. But the president’s messages only goes to show that she is having second thoughts on signing the agreement, causing the MILF to start a war.
Now if we would take the side of the government, we already know why they refused to sign. They rejected that agreement because they want to protect us from the possible effects if they would give the MILF what they want.
As for now, we still do not know when this war would end and when we could finally have peace in our country especially in Mindanao. And still, no one knows if the President would sign the MOA-AD or not. Now, knowing all of these, which side are we in? But always remember that whichever side we may believe in, we should always keep in mind the saying, “Man must put an end to war, or war will put an end to mankind”.

BETTER BLOGGING EXPERIENCE

I have been blogging since 2009 through BLOG.COM. I have experienced various problems with it but what I really admire about the website is its "user-friendliness". Click this, select that, and bam! You have already published a post. However, when I tried opening it yesterday, all the contents have gone missing. I tried sending a message to the site owners but up until now, they have not resolved the issue yet. That is why I decided to check BLOGSPOT.COM out since I have created a few blogs here back then. I really hope this website would give me a better blogging experience.
By the way, this is the blog that served me for five long years: http://klaire.blog.com/
